It wasn’t that far to Pittsfield, although it did seem a long way from Chester when my family moved there for three years. What a relief it was to move back to Chester and join the Freshman Class at C.H.S.! But Pittsfield was–and probably still is–important to Chester folks as a place to shop and, for many to work. With thanks to Susan Austin for posting this on Facebook, here’s a video that features “Pittsfield MA Back in the Day…” lots of memories!
